Help / Help: Attendance
Attendance
What each member has attended this semester, and how officers take attendance.
See your own attendance
The numbers are for the current semester. The lists show everything you have attended, and how you were checked in.
Met beside the page title means you have reached every number this semester. Behind means at least one is still short. Officers have numbers to reach only when the club sets them.
Events that count toward none of the club’s categories are listed under Not counted.
- Open Profile and press the counts beside This semester.
- Read one card for each kind of attendance the club counts, such as Meetings. 2/3 means you attended 2 of the 3 you need.
- Type in Search on a card to find an event in its list.
- Press an event in a list to open it.
What counts toward attendance
Each event counts toward one of the club’s attendance categories, such as Meetings or Events, or toward none. Officers who manage events pick it under Counts toward attendance as.
The club sets how many of each category Raisers, Sitters and Members must attend each semester, on the Club page under Attendance. The semesters are set there too, under Semesters.
An event counts for you once an officer marks you present, or you check in with I’m here or a code. A cancelled event does not count.
Mark attendance on the semester sheet
Officers who take attendanceEach mark is saved as soon as you make it. The sheet has a column for every event of the semester that counts toward attendance, including events that have not happened yet.
The category columns show what each member attended against what their role must attend, such as 2/3.
- Open Manage, then Attendance.
- Press Semester sheet.
- Check the box in a member’s row under an event to mark them present. Uncheck it to take the mark away.
- Type a name in Find a member, pick a role, or pick an order such as Behind first to narrow the list.
- Press a category above the sheet to show only its events. Press All to show every event again.
- Pick another semester in Semester, when the club has more than one.
Take attendance at an event
Officers who take attendanceEach tap is saved at once. The line at the top shows how many are here, and how many said they were going. Members who check in themselves are marked within a few seconds.
Take attendance lists the events that count toward attendance. Roll call on an event’s page works for any event.
- Open Manage, then Attendance, and press Take attendance. Or open the event and press Roll call.
- Press the arrows on each side of the event’s name to move to the event before or after. Press the small arrow beside the name to pick any event of the semester.
- Tap a member’s name to mark them present. Tap it again to unmark them.
- Press Not yet to see only the members who are not marked, or Here to see who is.
- Press Mark all present to mark everyone shown who is not marked yet.
Let members check in with a code
Officers who take attendanceThe code is also shown as six letters and numbers beside the QR code. It stops working an hour after the event ends, and cannot be started for a cancelled event.
Members can also press I’m here on the event’s page, from 30 minutes before it starts until an hour after it ends.
- In Take attendance or Roll call, press Start a check-in code.
- Show the QR code to the room. Press it to show it full screen.
- Ask members to scan it with their phone’s camera and press I’m here.
- Press New code to replace the code, or Close the code to stop it.

Officers who take attendanceA makeup is something a member did in place of an event they missed. Each makeup adds one to the category you pick, in the semester of its day. The day cannot be in the future.
- On the Semester sheet, press the number in the member’s Makeup column.
- Press Add makeup.
- Type What they did, pick the Day, and pick the category under Counts toward.
