Help / Help: Dashboard
Dashboard
The first page of your club: your next shift or event, what needs doing, and what is coming up.
Open the dashboard
The words above the greeting say which dashboard you see: Board dashboard, Raiser dashboard, Sitter dashboard or Member dashboard. Each one shows what fits your role in the club.
- Sign in. The app opens the dashboard of the club you last opened on this device. If it opens Your clubs instead, press Open on your club’s card.
- From any other page of the club, press Dashboard in the menu.
See your next shift or event
Your next shift, beside the greeting, shows the dog, the date and time, and the shift’s status. Press it to open the shift.
When you have more shifts coming up, a small +1 more (or +2 more, and so on) under it opens Shifts, where they all are.
With no shift booked, it shows the next club event instead. Members who do not sit shifts always see Next event there.
If your club lets only certified sitters sit young puppies and you are not certified yet, a note says which puppies you can sit now.
Check your sitting logs, applications and hours
Sitters and raisersSitting logs counts the sitting logs you still need to write and shows the time left before the first one is due. Press the tile to write them.
Sitters see Your applications: the shifts you applied for that are not decided yet. Raisers see Your shifts: the number of applicants on the shifts you posted.
Your record shows your sitting hours, counted from the sitting logs you sent on time. Raisers also see how many hours other members sat their dog. Press a tile to open the page behind it.
Check shift cover
Board onlyThe Shift administration tile counts the upcoming shifts that still need a sitter. Under the count, one line says how many are urgent, how many have applicants waiting for your pick, and how many have no applicants.
An urgent shift went through automatic filling and no sitter was picked. A shift with automatic filling turned off gets a sitter only when Board picks one on the shift’s page.
Press the tile to open Shift administration. Beside it, Dues counts the members who still owe this term’s dues and names the first few; it shows while a dues deadline is set.
Use the Board tools
Board onlyAt the bottom, Board tools shows the club’s Active shifts, Past shifts, Applications and Club sitting hours, then how many finished shifts had a sitter, the most-sat dog and the top sitter, with buttons for Shift administration, Member administration and Publish an announcement.
Board members who also sit shifts see the sitting cards too. Board members who do not sit see a Sitting logs card only when they have a log to write.
See upcoming events and shifts
Upcoming events lists the next club events, as many as fit beside the other cards. Press an event to open it, or press Full calendar.
Sitters, raisers and Board see Upcoming shifts: the next open shifts. Press a shift to open it, or press All shifts. A raiser also sees Your puppy: their dog’s next shift and sitter, and the latest sitting log.
Everyone sees the newest Announcements, with All announcements for the rest.
Read tips, polls and app updates
A quick tip from the app can show as a card near the top of the dashboard. Press Got it to hide it.
Once per visit, a poll or an app update may open in the middle of the screen. Answer the poll, or press Not now to keep it in your notifications for later. Press Got it to close an update.
Every app update ends with Have any questions? Message us. Press Message us to ask about the update. That also closes it, as Got it does.
For a week after an app update, a short note shows under something the update added, each time you open its page, until the next update comes. Press the cross in its corner, or start typing, to close it on that page.
See the newsletter and donation causes
From the club, beside the lists, shows the club’s newsletter and donation causes, one at a time. It shows only when the club has a newsletter or a cause.
Press Read the newsletter to read it, or Donate to open a cause’s donation page. All causes opens the full list.
The slides move by themselves and stop while your pointer or keyboard is on them. Press the arrow beside From the club to see the next one.
See what a thing does
Rest the pointer on an icon or a badge, and a short note beside it says what it does or what it means.
Moving to it with the Tab key shows the same note. Press Escape to hide it.
Phones and tablets do not show these notes.
