Members and profiles

Board’s list of who is in the club, and each member’s club profile.

Find a member

Board only

Each card shows the member’s role or office, the dog they raise, when they joined, their hours sat and dog hours, and this semester’s attendance. A card also says when the member owes dues.

  1. Press Manage in the menu, then Members.
  2. Type a name or email in Search.
  3. Choose an order in Sort by: Name, Sitting hours or Newest members.
  4. To see one group, choose it under One group only: Board, Raisers, Sitters, General Members, Former members or Blocked.

Invite someone by email

Officers who manage members

If the address belongs to a member, to someone blocked, or to someone who already asked to join, nothing is sent. The page says so and links to them.

Invitations not yet answered are listed under Waiting invitations. Press Withdraw to take one back. An invitation nobody answers ends after 30 days. A club can send 25 invitations a day, or 10 a day in its first week.

People who ask to join with the club’s invite link or code are listed under Waiting to join on the Club page.

  1. Press Invite someone.
  2. Type the person’s email address and press Send invitation.
  3. The person finds the invitation in their notifications, now or once they make an account with that address, and presses Join.

Read a member’s profile

Press a member’s name anywhere in the app to open their club profile. Everyone in the club sees their name and photo in this club, their About text, when they joined, their standing, their offices and the dogs they raise.

Their dues, attendance, sitting hours, certifications and shifts show only to the member and to Board. Their email address shows only to officers who manage members.

Dues reads Owed or Paid up, or how they paid, such as Paid · PayPal, once an officer has noted it. Press it to open the Dues page.

Officers who manage members also see the member’s Sitting history and Attended lists, and can press Remind about dues when the member owes dues.

Certify a sitter for young dogs

Officers who manage members

Only certified sitters may sit dogs younger than the age set on the Club page. The line shows for sitters only, and only while the club’s young-dog rule is on. Raisers always count as certified.

  1. Open the sitter’s profile from Members.
  2. In the Membership card, press Certified or Not certified beside the young-dog line, for example Under-6 dogs.
  3. Tick or untick Certified, then press Enter or click away to save.

Kick a member from the club

Officers who manage members

They lose this club and their offices in it. Their account and their other clubs stay as they are. You can’t add them back yourself: they can join again with an invite, unless you blocked them.

You can’t kick yourself or the club’s last officer. If the member raises a dog, give the dog to another raiser or archive it first. If they are covering upcoming shifts, take them off those shifts first.

  1. Open the member’s profile and press Kick from the club in the Membership card.
  2. Type a reason if you want to. The member reads it word for word in the notice that tells them.
  3. Press Kick from the club.
  4. To keep them from joining again, tick the box to also block them. Then press Kick from the club to finish.

Block or unblock someone

Officers who manage members

A blocked person can’t join the club again, even with an invite, and isn’t told. After Unblock, they can join again with an invite. To block a current member, kick them and tick the box to block them too.

  1. Find the person under Former members on the Members page and open their profile.
  2. Press Block from the club, add a reason if you want one, and press Block. Only Board sees the reason.
  3. To lift a block, open the person’s profile under Blocked and press Unblock.
